Is a Ibanez GRX20ZRD GRX Gio Electric Guita a good guitar?
I need a guitar with good sound that will last a while. I am a beginner and am lost in the buying process.
Hello there,
What is a good guitar is really a matter of personal opinion. We base our opinions on limited experience with a type of guitar. I have not thought much of the few Gio series guitars that I have had or played. I do like Ibanez guitars and especially the RG series. I think the RG120 is a good beginner guitar.
Walter has more knowledge of Ibanez guitars; perhaps he will come along and give you a better answer.
One thing to consider before getting a starter guitar is whether you want a whammy bar. It is not practical to add a tremolo bridge to an inexpensive guitar that did not come with one. So decide if you want a whammy bar. If you do not want a whammy bar, then look at the fixed bridge guitars. If you do want a whammy bar, then look for a guitar with a tremolo bridge.
